Keit Joins IBioIC as Industry Member

IBioIC – Industry Member

IBioIC Logo

Keit Spectrometers has joined IBioIC as an Industry Member – an organisation aimed at supporting commercial businesses and academia in the industrial biotechnology industries by providing much-needed access to collaborative opportunities, resources, and networking.  Keit is proud to be a supporting industry member where innovation and collaboration play a key role in the successful application of our technology in manufacturing industries.

IBioIC’s mission  is to accelerate and de-risk the development of commercially viable, sustainable solutions for high-value (speciality & commodity) manufacturing in chemistry-using and life-science sectors. Keit is proud to be benefitting from our membership with collaborative trials evaluating on-line process analysis techniques across various instrumentation.

Visit IBioIC’s website and learn more about their innovative programmes for developing technologies for bioprocesses.

IRmadillo at FEW 2018: The ONLY Process FTIR for the Bioethanol Producer

See Real-time Differentiation of Multiple Sugars, Ethanol, Methanol & Organic Acids and Lactic acid

FEW 2018 Keit 1333

We’ll be exhibiting at FEW 2018 on 11th-13th June in Omaha, Nebraska (Booth 1333) — You’ll see us demonstrating our compact, online mid-infrared spectrometer at the largest, longest running ethanol conference in this industry. FEW 2018 is co-located with Advanced Biofuels Conference 2018, a complementary event tailored for industry professionals engaged in producing, developing and deploying advanced biofuels including cellulosic ethanol, biobased platform chemicals, polymers and other renewable molecules.

Right at our booth we’ll be monitoring —  live — an active fermentation process with the Keit IRmadillo FTIR spectrometer. We’ll show how easily our real-time process analyser works to monitor feedstock sugar consumption and alcohol concentrations.

Have your cake and eat it too…Come Celebrate New Instrument

Drop by the Keit booth for a slice of cake on Monday, 11th June. From 5:00pm-6:30pm. At booth #1333 we’ll be handing out celebration cake to mark the new IRmadillo model to be released this year – the Steamy IRmadillo.  Pick up a small gift as a thank you, and get to talk about the Steamy IRmadillo, an FTIR model customised for use in industrial environments that require sterilise-in-place (SIP) procedures.

RAFT 2017

Keit RAFT 2017

Recent Advances in Fermentation Technology (RAFT) 2017

We’ll be demonstrating our rugged FTIR spectrometer at RAFT 2017 on 29 October through 01 November in Bonita Springs, Florida (Booth 6).  At our exhibit table, we’ll be monitoring —  live — an active fermentation process to allow attendees to see our real-time sensor at work.

In addition, Keit will be taking part in the scientific programme at this year’s Society for Industrial Microbiology and and Biotechnology’s (SIMB’s) annual RAFT conference. On Wed., 01 November (8:30am) – During Session 6 “Process control, monitoring, PAT and new data analysis methods and tools”, Keit Application Scientist, Dr. Jonathon Speed, will be presenting the results of an independent comparison study of fermentation monitoring using four different spectroscopic techniques:

  • IRmadillo FTIR
  • Near-infrared (NIR)
  • Raman
  • and another process Mid-infrared (MIR-FTIR)

Also, on Mon., 30th October (12:35-12:45pm) Dan Wood, CEO, will present a brief overview of the innovation of this solid-state FTIR instrument during Monday’s Exhibitor Showcase.
