Keit’s IRmadillo installed at Solvay for monitoring of chemical concentrations in production processes
Oxford, United Kingdom: Keit is delighted to announce the sale of an IRmadillo FTIR spectrometer to Solvay, a global chemical and advanced materials company. Solvay installed and purchased the robust IRmadilloDiamond model for monitoring chemical production processes in a manufacturing facility.
Dan Wood, CEO, Keit stated “We are proud that Solvay has chosen our instrument and has seen the benefits of ownership. This is exactly what we’ve developed the IRmadillo for – industrial process monitoring of liquids right at the point of production. It’s providing continuous, real-time analysis while demonstrating dependability and stability”.
Working like clockwork…remarkable stability
Neil Breton, Principal Scientist, Solvay, added “We have been searching a long time for a rugged industrial infrared ATR spectrometer. We have found the IRmadillo to be compact, robust and easy to implement on-line. The process installation is now finalised and we are collecting good results. The instrument is working like clockwork, demonstrating remarkable stability and precision on our application”.
Dan Wood continued “Importantly, we see the incorporation of the IRmadillo into the Solvay facility as part of an industry trend. More manufacturers are seeking advanced on-line technologies for improvements in process monitoring along with increased automation. Solvay is a company that clearly understands how the IRmadillo provides efficiencies through better monitoring and control technology”.
Dan Wood concluded “As always, our goal is to help companies reduce waste and provide continuous improvement to the quality of their manufacturing processes. With a practical, no-nonsense instrument like the IRmadillo, we can promote better facility and resource utilization. We are excited to see the IRmadillo help one more client make faster, better decisions on their production processes”.
About Keit Spectrometers and the IRmadillo
Based out of the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, England, Keit Spectrometers has created the IRmadillo to provide on-line, in situ process analysis of liquids through pioneering technology. The IRmadillo FTIR spectrometer is built tough with a fixed sampling probe and a vibration-tolerant optical design. It enables real-time chemical reaction analysis of liquids in environments that challenge standard instrumentation. www.keit.co.uk
